1 Giant Leap is the creation of Jamie Catto orginally from the band Faithless and producer Duncan Bridgeman. The 1st film fuses music, words, sounds and images from a diversity of musicians, storytellers, authors, artists and thinkers from many different cultures.
Robbie Williams, Dennis Hopper, Michael Stipe, Brian Eno, Baaba Maal, Asha Bhosle and Michael Franti are just some of the artists involved, exploring the things that unite us all and showing how these common traits far outweigh our superficial differences.

The 2nd film "what about me" was released in 2008 and features an incredibly diverse collection of collaborators from Noam Chomsky to Will Young, Maxi Jazz to Tim Robbins, Billy Connolly to Michael Stipe, Eckhart Tolle to Baaba Mal, among many others.

The connection between 1 Giant Leap and Northern Ireland?

In May 2004 1 Giant Leap came to Belfast (see 'all those who wander' page). The impact went beyond all our expectations, one that has had a long-term postitive effect on the community of Northern Ireland. This includes the formation of the 'Motion Project', Northern Ireland's multi-cultural group to Homely Planet radio. 1 Giant Leap in Northern Ireland is coordinated by the organisation Beyond Skin and the ethos & methods of 1 Giant Leap has been the thread throughout all Beyond Skin projects.
