In memory of Tawanda Moyo

In memory of Tawanda "MaPecca" Moyo who died Tuesday 29th August 2017.

Tawanda is known for his acting, dance and singing skills as he spent most of his artistic life working and travelling with Siyaya Arts appearing on some of the world's biggest stages in Africa, Europe, Asia and the Americas. The group were a fond favourite of WOMAD Festivals working with the Foundation on Intercultural Arts education programmes.

It was Community Relations Week when Tawanda and his group SIYAYA from Zimbabwe came to Northern Ireland as part of of the Beyond Skin WOMAD Education Programme.
People still talk about the events in Skainos Belfast & Ballymena to this day.

Tawanda and the SIYAYA group in no time at all enabled children & young people to develop performances as choirs, dancers & drummers. The message was Peace & Harmony.
Tawanda with his voice, generous heart, infectious smile and desire to bring out the best in children and young people, has left a huge legacy in Northern Ireland.

Happy memories. He will be dearly missed.
