The
'Motion' Project
are
Northern Ireland's largest multi-cultural
music collective that has had representation of artists
from many different countries. The Motion Project tour around
Ireland providing unique world music interactive
experiences, programs
and performances.
The reason;
The Motion Project aim to address racism, sectarianism in Northern
Ireland by showing how our individuality can produce something
far more attractive and unique when we work together. The Motion
Project also provides people with the opportunity
to expand thier cultural & development
knowledge; a chance to hear,
play and learn
about music from around the world and the chance to meet others
from different
cultural backgrounds.
The
Motion Project are unique from most bands due to the nature of
their improvised performances allowing
for total creativity in the moment
of inspiration. The
Motion Project are well known for their
interactive nature of getting the audience involved.
Some
of the countries/regions so far represented in the Motion Project
are: Poland, China, South Africa, Ireland, Venezuela, India, England,
New Zealand, Iran, Slovakia, Zimbabwe, Scotland, Sri-Lanka, Mexico,
France, Columbia, Switzerland, Nepal, Hong Kong, Zambia, Ghana,
Romania, Chile and of course N.Ireland.

originated from a CD project in 2006 ' music from a diverse city'
