South Asian Heritage Month is the name given to the month-long celebration in the South Asian diaspora to celebrate the heritage of people with roots in the South Asian countries of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Nepal, Bhutan, and the Maldives. It runs from 18 July to 17 August each year.

Designed by Gita from Nepal, we recreated a remote Nepal village in youth clubs and the young people lived out one day from carrying wood for fire, water, cooking, games, making art and crafts to sell, music and storytelling.
